First I want to comment on the video that was posted on this assignments FSO activity.  I really liked this video.  Ben made some very wise comments about possibility and I really liked how he told a story.  He has wonderful energy and the movements he use made me really listen to what he had to say.

I’m going to try something different this week.  Instead of finding one classmate to post a comment to, I am going to post to at least five people, but my goal is to post to everyone.  The first comment for this week goes to Katie Hirt on her “Show Me What You’ve Learned” entry.

The one thing I did this month that I have never done before is vodcasting for my classes.  I was sick and missed work for an entire week.  On day 3, when I realized I was going to be gone day 4, I decided to do things I bit different.  I created vodcasts for each of my classes.  Then I did the same thing for Friday.

I started using a new site with my computer students to help them learn the keyboard or become more efficient with their typing skills.

Sense-Lang.org has a section on Typing.  Anyone can go on the site for free and complete the typing lessons, play typing games, or take the Timed Typing Test.

In August I started a document titled “Sites to Blog” for my personal blogging entries.  I have managed to get through a few and thought what better time to start up on it again!  Being that my thesis is on how we can use social networking sites in the classroom to engage students, this particular entry will fall under three of my categories.
